Kairos Agriculture’s first Smart Vanilla Farm in Malaysia sits on 6-acre in Permatang Pauh Agro-Park and Integrated Eco-Farm in Penang. The farm adopts Agriculture 4.0 technologies including the Internet Of Things (IOT), Big Data, AI and Machine Learning.
To better protect the farm against changes to export markets, the weather and unforeseeable challenges, vanilla is grown as the anchor crop, alongside other vegetables, herbs, and spices. The farm also uses aquaponics and a full ecosystem of microbes, enzymes, and vermicompost (worms).

Mr. Joseph Chan Fan Eng
Chief Operating Officer
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Maritime Technology) (Hons) from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.
- Committee Member of the Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (ATAS), Malaysia.
While Joseph did not graduate from an agricultural program, he is an eager learner, attending training courses on vanilla cultivation, organic farming, aquaponics, and irrigation planning. His efforts paid off when he was appointed a Committee Member by the newly-formed ATAS. Because of his position in ATAS, he was given the opportunity to share his insights into vanilla farming at the 2022 International Conference on Tropical Agriculture hosted by ATAS.

Co - Founder & CEO
- 12 years of entrepreneurial experience.
- Previously worked in the F&B, marketing, insurance, and real estate development industries.
- Top 30 Finalist at the 2021 JCI Malaysia Creative Young Entrepreneur Awards.
Ezra has always been motivated to do good and was involved in supporting many underprivileged families before embarking on this venture, which he personally invested RM50,000 in.
